My first job interview took place 3 stories in the air...
No joke, hanging from a wire I had to prove I could navigate a zipline/ropes course I had never set foot on. “Team building” they said. (There’s nothing I love more than some sweet unbridled camaraderie.) I persisted to tightrope across a wire to prove I was comfortable enough to lead others through the same course.
Be it a love for type 2 fun (god awful while you’re doing it, fun after the fact) or brimming optimism I have a knack for jumping in and figuring things out as I go.
… Moving to a new city without ever visiting.
… An 8 mile hike with no peak in sight.
… Befriending strangers to field a beach volleyball team.
… Hunting down the orchid grower for the White House.
I live for these moments and have the curiosity that always keeps others on their toes.
